On the Parkway
Skylark is located on the scenic, peaceful Blue Ridge Parkway in central Virginia at Milepost 25. The Parkway is a 469-mile national park that has been called a “museum of the managed American countryside.” When you are at Skylark, you have the sense of being far removed from the everyday hustle and bustle. Although Skylark is tucked away from everyday life, it is not difficult to locate.
Directions
From I-64, take Exit 99 (just 20 miles west of Charlottesville, Va.) and proceed south on the Blue Ridge Parkway for 25 miles. The Parkway has convenient mileposts for your reference. Just north of the 25th milepost, Skylark’s entrance is on the east side of the Parkway.
In adverse weather the Parkway may be gated off for safety reasons. If this is the case, please use the following directions to Skylark. Take Route 56 either from the West (Interstate 81, Raphine exit 205) or East (Crabtree Falls Highway). Where Route 56 goes underneath the Blue Ridge Parkway, and about 50 yards east, is Bradley Lane, Route 685. A little more than half way, Bradley Lane turns into Spy Run Gap and you will bear to the left when it does so. Including both roads, you travel two miles before it T-junctions with the Blue Ridge Parkway. Take a right onto the Parkway and go half a mile. On the right, you will see the Christmas trees from the road as well as the entrance to Skylark.
